Couples Therapy
As your couple's counselor I use research-based techniques to help couples overcome their hang ups. I can help you to define the negative patterns in your marriage to make small changes that will add up to big benefits in your marital satisfaction. Research shows us what we can do to make a marriage stronger and research also tells us what actions are most likely to cause strife. Through this understanding we can work as a team to build positive resources in your marriage.
I have experience working with military couples and couples navigating cultural borderlands. Cultural differences can arise from our upbringings, our religions and along racial lines and it takes extra care for couples to thrive within those differences. Couples also navigating major changes such as having children, a move, or experiencing grief can find that these transitions surface stress that wasn't there before, putting new pressure on even a strong relationship. I help couples move through these seasons without losing sight of each other.
Whatever brought you here, my goal is the same: to help you and your partner feel more understood, more connected, and better equipped to handle whatever comes next — together.
