Couples Counseling
As your couple’s counselor I use research-based techniques to help couples overcome their hang ups. I can help you to define the negative patterns in your marriage to make small changes that will add up to big benefits in your marital satisfaction. Research shows us what we can do to make a marriage stronger and research also tells us what actions are most likely to cause strife. Through this understanding we can work as a team to build positive resources in your marriage.
I have experience working with military couples and couples navigating cultural borderlands. Cultural differences can arise from our upbringings, our religions and along racial lines and it takes extra care for couples to thrive within those differences.
Couples also navigating major changes such as having children, a move, or experiencing grief can benefit from therapy. I can walk alongside you to help you come out stronger and with a great understanding of what is happening in your relationship. I can also help couples facing infidelity and betrayal to work through difficulties.

Individual Therapy
The level of compassion and knowledge that we have towards ourselves directly impacts how we feel and how we relate to those closest to us. When you enter a therapeutic relationship with me, we will uncover the roadblocks holding you back so that your relationship to yourself naturally becomes more productive and harmonious.
I have specialized training in working with PTSD, Complex-PTSD and dissociation. I'm also well versed in working with existential concerns as well as relationships.

EMDR Therapy
I provide EMDR therapy for adults ages 18 and up. I was EMDR trained while working as an intern at Ft. Benning Family Life Center in Columbus, GA in 2013.
As I've had more experiences both in and out of the therapy room, I realize that clients are often in pain or stuck in old patterns because of trauma.
The harmful patterns vary by person but can include things like people pleasing, avoiding conflict, lack of boundaries, anger management issues, lack of access to anger, flashbacks or nightmares, to name a few.
EMDR can accelerate your healing process and help you in overcoming negative past experiences. EMDR therapy can help you cope in the present day and create space for better reactions and habits in the future.
EMDR is a research-based modality which means it has scientific backing that proves its efficacy.
